This question comes from member, Kathleen.
Kathleen writes, “What are coupon match-ups and how do you use them?”
Coupon match-ups are lists that show items and match them with available coupons. Usually these are items featured in weekly sales advertisements, but sometimes match-ups will include unadvertised sales. Different bloggers will show match-ups differently, but the concept is still the same. Take this for an example:
Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Sausage = $2.50
$1 – 4/11 RP
Final Price: $1.50 each
This is how you interpret this. The product costs $2.50. There is a $1 off coupon located in the April 11 Red Plum insert. After coupon, this product will cost $1.50.
Here is another, slightly more complicated example:
Jimmy Dean Sausage Roll - $2.50
$2 off 2 printable coupon for Jimmy Dean Sausage Rolls
or $1 printable coupon for any Jimmy Dean product on Facebook
or $1 off 2 - 3/28/10 RP
Final price: $1.50 to $2 each
Again, the product costs $2.50. In this case, there are 3 different coupons available. Two of them are internet printable coupons and the other is located in the March 28 Red Plum insert. The final cost is a range because the price will vary depending on which coupon you have. If you use the $1 off coupon from Facebook, you will get the best deal and will pay $1.50 for one sausage roll. If you have the $1 off 2 coupon, you will pay $2.00 for each sausage roll.
Keep in mind that these coupon match-up lists are easiest to use with the whole insert filing method that I talk about HERE. Also note that internet printable coupons can be removed from websites at any time. Froogaloo currently gets the coupon match-ups via other bloggers, so please leave them a comment if you notice that a link no longer works.
