Did you know that you can make money with coupons? You can! Don't expect to make a lot, but these money maker deals can be used to reduce the price you pay for items you need. Milk, fresh produce, and meat are a few items that rarely have coupons available to use. Here is an example of a money maker deal. I made $2.21 - almost enough to cover that gallon of milk that I needed.
Last week,
CouponSTL posted that Dierbergs had Stove Top Turkey Stuffing on sale for 69 cents. There was a $1 off 2 coupon for any Stove Top product (no longer available). There was also a catalina deal, where you receive a $3 coupon for your next order when you buy 4 boxes of Stove Top stuffing.
4 boxes @ 69 cents = $2.76
use two $1 off 2 coupons = $2.00
Total paid out of pocket = 0.76 + 0.03 (tax) = $0.79
Receive $3 catalina coupon for next purchase
= $2.21 money maker!
Basically, I paid 79 cents, but got $3 back. Not a bad deal! Now, I can use this coupon to pay for milk....it's like getting the milk for almost FREE! Can't beat that.
These money-maker deals are most common at Walgreens & CVS. Here is an example from this week's Walgreens ad &
CouponSTL:
Ecotrin - $2
Receive a $2 Register Reward (GlaxoSmithKline)
$2 printable Ecotrin coupon or
$2
- 5/16/10 RP
Final cost:
$2 Money-Maker
after coupon and Register Reward
Even though I don't use Ecotrin, I would pick up this deal and use the $2 reward for something that is on my list this week. Then, I can donate the Ecotrin.
